Raised by world renowned classical musicians, Lili was always destined for a life in the performing arts. However, she rebelled from the path of her parents and put her dramatic personality to use, earning a BFA in Drama at NYU-Tisch School of the Arts. Determined to be a “triple threat,” she trained extensively in acting, singing, and dancing… and because it was in her DNA, she picked up a few instruments along the way. Lili is an actor musician who has performed professionally on trumpet, euphonium, tuba, piano, percussion and guitar (she also loves to fiddle around on the cello, ukulele, bass, mandolin, accordion and trombone).
Lili is fresh off her history making run as the first Asian American Matron Mama Morton in Chicago on Broadway. Prior to that, she toured as Cynthia Murphy in Dear Evan Hansen. Off Broadway, Lili has been seen at The Tony Kiser Theatre in We’re Gonna Die (Second Stage), Only Human (Theatre St. Clements), and The Hello Girls (Prospect Theater/Original Cast Album/Kennedy Center). Select Regional: Lincoln Center, Kennedy Center, PLCO, Berkeley Rep, Milwaukee Rep. Lili is also an acclaimed vocal coach who has run her own private studio for over a decade. She has directed, choreographed, and taught at schools and educational programs throughout Westchester including The Masters School, Hackley School, and Clocktower Players.
